Bond/Debond/Kissing Debond Evaluations
UltraSpec™ is the emerging bond tester of choice for a wide variety
of markets. For specific applications, the spectrum can be optimized to
discriminate varying degrees of bond. |
|
Early Corrosion Detection
UltraSpec™ has the capability to not only evaluate the thickness, but
also evaluate the hidden surface condition. The spectrum can be optimized
to show the level of sensitivity that is important to the user. The resonance
behavior provides a very accurate thickness measurement, and the attenuation
as a function of frequency correlates to surface condition. |
|
Material Characterization: Microcracking
UltraSpec™ can be very sensitive to small changes within a material.
When dealing with quality issues before, during, and after manufacture,
UltraSpec™ uses attenuation as a function of frequency to compare signatures
of varying materials to their baselines. |
|
Material Characterization: Porosity
UltraSpec™ data has proven to show a direct correlation to pore size
in some materials. UltraSpec™ uses attenuation as a function of frequency
and the cut-off frequency to quantify porosity within a material. |
|
Multiple-Layer Material Evaluation
The spectrum can be optimized to show the level of sensitivity that
is important to the user. The resonance behaviors provide either the velocity
or the thickness of each layer. |
